Handmade goods, artists, designers, and independent makers
Prepared food, packaged food, speciality food vendors + trucks
Limited and Intentional Community Spots
A sponsored opportunity for youth entrepreneurs (18 and younger) selling handmade items of their own creation.
Spots are limited and selected based on creativity, effort, and readiness.
For local businesses, nonprofits, and service-based organizations that are not primarily handmade.
These spots are intentionally limited and selected based on how they enhance the market experience.

(For example: community nonprofits, brick-and-mortar businesses, or service based businesses that complement themed markets or community needs.)

Why SOAM is thoughtfully curated

SOAM Open Air Markets is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a mission centered on supporting local makers and artisans on the South Coast.

Because of this mission, our markets prioritize handmade vendors first and foremost. Additional vendor categories — such as food, community businesses, nonprofits, and youth entrepreneurs — are included in limited numbers when they align with our values and enhance the overall market experience.

Applying does not guarantee acceptance, as each market is intentionally balanced to reflect our nonprofit mission and community focus.
